Dr. Richard Cohen of Limerick Dental Care - Dentists

Practicing dentistry for 45 years, Dr. Richard Cohen has strong roots in Southeastern Pennsylvania and Montgomery County. Dr. Cohen graduated from Norristown High School in 1955, went on to attend Temple University for his undergraduate studies, and then received his dental degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine.

After graduation from dental school, Dr. Cohen proudly served his country for two years as a Captain in the United States Army Dental Corps. After service in the Army, Dr. Cohen opened his first dental practice in East Norriton and ran a successful practice at that location for 33 years. A firm believer in education and staying current, Dr. Cohen continued his education at the Institute for Graduate Dentists in New York. In 1979, he became a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry in recognition for his outstanding commitment to continuing education.

In 1997, Dr. Cohen renovated a 130 year-old farmhouse, furnished it with state-of-the-art dental technology, and opened his new practice, Limerick Dental Care, where he has been happily making people smile ever since.

Among his many talents, Dr. Cohen is also a musician and plays the saxophone, clarinet, flute, piccolo, and piano. You may have heard him play with the Veterans Association of Military Musicians, the Ursinus Jazz Band, or at a local community theater.

Married for 50 years, Dr. Cohen and his wife Stephanie reside in Collegeville and have three grown children. Mrs. Cohen was a professor of Horticulture for 22 years and now is a nationally known garden writer and lecturer.
